This season on HBO they are have a new series called "Broadwalk Empire". It's set in Atlantic City during the prohibition in the 1920's and 1930's. The show is about Enoch "Nucky" Johnson. Nucky was the sheriff of Atlantic City and later became a famous political leader/criminal. When prohibition hits New Jersey Nucky begins profiting from the illegal bootlegging alcohol. He also is involved with the other illegal activity going on in the town(prostitution & gambling). The government starts to catch on to what's going on and they begin to investigate Nucky and Atlantic City. Nucky is being played by Steve Buscemi. I'm so glad he was given this role. He is an extraordinary actor, but has never been placed as the main role. He's always played side roles. It's a good show whether your into history or not. Its got a love story along with everything else that's going on too, and like any HBO show it gets a little racy. If you want to check it it's on Sunday nights at 8pm.

October!
I am so excited about October! Not only is it my favorite time of year, but we have so many things planned for this month. On October 6th we have tickets to go see Daniel Tosh at the Pageant. I fricken LOVE Daniel Tosh, he's hilarious. He's got a show on Comedy Central called Tosh.O, check it out if you've never watched it. October 8th we will be taking a Haunted Alton Tour. Its a three and a half hour walking tour of the town. They take you to different locations and tell you the haunted history behind them. Alton is supposed to be one of the most haunted town's in Illinois. The 16th we're supposed to go to The Tivoli for the midnight Rocky Horror Picture Show. I've never went before, but I heard its crazy! People actually dress up, and if its your first time going they put a big V(virgin) on your forehead. During the movie there's a lot of interaction with the crowd(There's a scene in the movie where Dr. Frank N Furter says "Let's have a toast", and everyone throws toast at the screen. I don't maybe, I'm weird, but if you like Rocky Horror I'm sure it'll be a good time. On the 23rd my mom is having hayride, and for that I'm making jello shots and apple pie(apple cider, apple juice, everclear, and cinnamon sticks). Everyone brings some kind of chili or soup, and we have a bonfire too. I won't be able to do anything the weekend of Halloween I have to work midnights on Saturday. Oh well, this eventful month should make up for it!

Daniel Tosh (Tosh.O)
Last night was awesome! First we ate at this pizza restaurant in U-city called Pi-but its really the symbol for Pi! They have great deep dish pizzas and prices aren't that bad. THEN we went to The Pageant to see Daniel Tosh! The opening acts were Jasper Red and this other guy who really wasn't that funny. Jasper Red was pretty funny, but the guy who came on after him seemed like he was sloshed, overall his jokes weren't that funny! Daniel Tosh was the main act. For those of you who have no idea who I'm talking about-He has a show on Comedy Central called Tosh.O( its hilarious)! But any ways Daniel Tosh was friggen awesome! I watch his show religiously, but his stand up was just as good! His first joke when he came out was " Forrest Parks is one of the best parks. The only thing that makes Central Park better is the city that surrounds it." It went something like that. Oh yeah and how could I forget this we were THIRD ROW!!! We were soooo close! It was a great night! I would definitely buy tickets to see him when he comes back!
Here's a clip from his show Tosh.O:

The melting pot!!!
Oh my god! Last night my boyfriend, my sister, my brother in law, and me all went to eat at The Melting Pot. Its a fondue restaurant in Delmar on the Loop. They cook everything up right at your table in the fondue pot,and you just dip it and eat it. It was my first time ever going and it was amazing! For those of you who haven't gone here's a little about it: Your food comes out in courses the 1st course is the cheese fondue. You pick between 6 different cheeses ranging from: jalapeno cheese, swiss cheese, wisconsin trio. We got the the Wisconsin trio which was three different cheeses, white wine, scallions, and some other stuff. They give veggies, white/rye bread, and apples to dip in the cheese. I loved it, even the apples and cheese was good. The second course you pick between different meats/poultry. They have like eight different combinations to pick from, but you can get steak, lobster, duck, chicken, sausage, fillet minion, and shrimp. With this course they also bring out veggies, dips and sauces. Then they bring you out your choice of broth and you just cook your own meats, poultry, and veggie, right there! Then the last course and my favorite course was the dessert! There's about eight different chocolate fondues to pick from. They have white chocolate, dark chocolate, smores, ying yang(white chocolate and milk chocolate mix). With this they bring you cheesecake, rice krispies, bananas, strawberries, pound cake, and brownies. It was the best dessert I've had! Seriously! I told my boyfriend that next time we go all we need to get is the cheese fondue and the dessert! I will definitely be going back!Soon! Its a little bit pricey(your going to at least spend $100) but your paying for the experience, and its well worth it!

Are you kidding me!
I was on my way home from work this morning and on the radio they were talking about how teens are being influenced by vampire movies, television shows, and books! These crazy kids are actually biting each other! What is wrong with our youth? We're talking about teenagers here, a teen should have enough common sense not to bite someone, or let someone bite them. My two year old niece even knows better!
Not only that, but they should be aware(at this age) that there are diseases that are spread through blood. The mouth carries a billion different germs, so your bite could turn into a disgusting, infected bite! Their even biting their friends to prove their ownership? or connection? Which is one of the dumbest things I've ever heard! To be completely honest if these kids aren't smart enough to realize that this is not normal, maybe they shouldn't be watching these movies and television shows. There was a 16 year old boy interviewed and he said he's been biting his girlfriend on and off for a year now. Are you kidding me?
