I'm ready for the holidays!!!!

Thanksgiving is finally here and I have to work. I wish I could spend it with my family, but I'm happy to be spending it with everyone at the nursing home. They deserve a wonderful Thanksgiving too! I don't think people think about that. They complain about working, but some of the residents don't have family members that come in. We are their family. I'm so ready for Christmas this year! I had to buy for fifteen people, but I started early and now I'm down to only three people. Thank God! I usually turn into Martha fricken Stewart during this time of the year. I bake cookies and make candy! I love it! I haven't put up Christmas decorations yet, I told myself I had to atleast wait til after Thanksgiving! Tomorrow instead of shopping with the lunatics I'm going to be decorating the house and listening to Christmas music. I'm so glad that school is almost out. I do really like school, but I want a break!

I'm done smoking!!!

I have decided to quit smoking! For the last week I've been coughing up blood. Ew! I know, right! I don't have any insurance so that's why I didn't rush to the doctor right away. Wednesday after school I decided to go to the ER because I was still coughing up blood and I felt like I could barely catch my breath. It was terrible! I only waited like twenty minutes before they called me back to take blood and they took like six viles. Then they took me for an x-ray. Not to long after that they wanted to take more blood, but this time it was a blood gas test, which is where they have to go into an artery to get blood. It's been two days and my arm is still killing me. They moved me into a room after all that and I had to get an IV. I was given the IV so that when I got a CT scan they could inject dye into me. Yeah, the CT scan wasn't bad until they injected the dye, it was the weirdest feeling ever! The doctor told me it would feel like a hot flash. Obviously I've never had a hot flash before and it was not what I was expecting. It felt like my whole body was extremely warm withen two seconds of him injecting that stuff. After all those tests my doctor came in and told me that I had spots all over my lungs, but she was pretty sure it was pneumonia. She referred me to a pulmonary doctor just to be sure though. Today I went to the pulmonary doctor and she told me that I'll have to get another CT scan after I finish my antobiotics. I'm on like 3 antibiotics and an inhaler. I go back on December 3rd for the CT scan and hopefully this infection is cleared up. Either way I'm done smoking!

Howard Stern leaving?

How can this be? I just starting listening to Howard Stern on Sirius about two years ago. My boyfriend got me hooked on it. At first I was skeptical. I looked at Howard like he was this male chauvinistic pig who humiliated women on his show. Which yes, sometimes he does, but if their willing to come on and be interviewed about their "career" then they obviously don't care. Now I've come to realize that he is an awesome interviewer. I don't particularly like listening to the show when he has porn stars on, but when he just has a famous person on; it's pretty entertaining. I do still think he's a little judgemental, but I agree with his opinions on a lot of things. He says what he thinks and I respect that. My boyfriend has been listening to Howard for God knows how long now. He doesn't even know if he's going to renew his subscription to Sirius if the show cancels. If he leaves Sirius they are going to lose a bunch of subscribers! I'm hoping that maybe last minute he'll change his mind, but if not I guess I'll have to start listening to Z1077 in the morning....bahahaha....not!

I looked for a interview off of Howard Tv, but all I could find was a video where someone put a picture of Seth Mcfarlene and there's the audio from the interview....It's the 2nd half of his interview with Seth Mcfarlene(it's toned down more than some of the shows, since this is a school assignment and all)!!!

Boardwalk Empire

This season on HBO they are have a new series called "Broadwalk Empire". It's set in Atlantic City during the prohibition in the 1920's and 1930's. The show is about Enoch "Nucky" Johnson. Nucky was the sheriff of Atlantic City and later became a famous political leader/criminal. When prohibition hits New Jersey Nucky begins profiting from the illegal bootlegging alcohol. He also is involved with the other illegal activity going on in the town(prostitution & gambling). The government starts to catch on to what's going on and they begin to investigate Nucky and Atlantic City. Nucky is being played by Steve Buscemi. I'm so glad he was given this role. He is an extraordinary actor, but has never been placed as the main role. He's always played side roles. It's a good show whether your into history or not. Its got a love story along with everything else that's going on too, and like any HBO show it gets a little racy. If you want to check it it's on Sunday nights at 8pm.
